Magical mornings and mists…

Some mornings start with just a tiny bit of colour……and you watch it change and grow. Then the oranges started as the sun came up over the trees…further and further South each morning…a reminder of the changing seasons.

Never fails to take my breath away. Nature has a way of healing the soul if you let it. For everything else, there are cats;)

The riot of colour is so beautiful! Everywhere you look. The morning light is so very different to the afternoon.

Here, late in the day, the hill we live on is just starting to cast a shadow on the other side of the lake. Framed by Fall:) I never get tired of taking photos of this view. At the end of September we had the full moon rising, and it was partly clear!

I know astronomers hate the clouds but I love the drama that comes with them! We’ll be waiting and watching for October’s full moon!

This time of year you can look down the lake and not see a single light…I love that. No boats this weekend; they’ve mostly been put away for the Winter. We did have a rogue boat and dock attached visit us in the bay… luckily we figured out who the owners were, and they came to retrieve it. Never a dull moment!

When I went down to photograph the rogue dock/boat to see if we could find the owner, I saw this pair of Trumpeter Swans and their two cygnets across the lake. They were very careful about keeping their distance! Not the older tame pair, I do hope they show up, it’s a highlight of Fall for me to hand feed these amazing birds! Just watching them take off and land is such a sight!
In the meantime we have more sunrises and mists to catch and thankfully a few more birds are showing up at the feeders! We nearly hit freezing this morning…just .7° celcuis so another night/early morning without frost! Time to go out and check the mail for the week;) Saludos amigos!
